I would agree that the increasing competition against the legacy banking is requiring them to improve their user experience in the developed countries. This is requiring the crypto world to step up it's game as well.

The ApplePay & SamsungPay will eventually fall due to the privacy concerns with centralized failures; especially theft of data/hacking concerns (I.e. Yahoo).

Exactly. It's hard to be compete with decentralised models :)
