Unconfirmed bitcoin transaccions decreasing

in #bitcoin7 years ago (edited)

Well one one hand its a relief to see the amount of btc transaccions that are unconfirmed on the blockchain decreasing day by day. At the same time Im still stuck with 4 transaccions some of which are nearly 2 weeks old now.

Currently we are sitting on 80,000 but just eleven days ago as you can read in this post by @penguinpablo we had a congestion of over 200,000 unconfirmed btc transaccions pending.

Here is a post that I made 13 days ago about being frustrated with this huge problem which can only make new users uneasy about using bitcoin.

Are you waiting on any unconfirmed transaccions as well? Will this issue resolve itself when seg wit is activated?

Hope you have a great monday!

Finally got one transaction of mine through was fucking stuck for over a week, ffs. With a fee of a few god damn dollars. Way to go bitcoin.

Thats awesome there is some hope yet.

I guess, but it's just showing how much BTC is getting left behind with its technology.

I hope everything will be as normol very soon.

Yes we are all hoping that this issue will be solved. Funny thing is that altcoins already have the solution to the scaling problem.

well, price surges again and unconfirmed transactions are going up, too...
I had some transactions stuck some time ago cause I've set my fees too low. you can check the average fee/bytes here:
https://bitcoinfees.21.co/
though one can never know the amount of bytes a transaction will have (or can you, depending on the wallet you use?) what wallet do you use?

Yikes, 390sat/byte!

That's quite heavy fees being applied.
It's quite difficult to know beforehand since it can be composed of several inputs if you have a lot of change laying around.
