There's a distinction that probably should be made too though. Is the debt being taken only because you have other less liquid assets that could be liquidated to pay the debt if things go wrong? If you do, that's not as bad.
If that's not your situation, you're playing with fire.
I can't believe how many people do it. Most would never admit it.
