Wow this is terrible. I really hope other countries dont follow suite. I read my government's tax body SARS (South Africa), wants to start tracking our actions on the blockchain for taxation reasons. I have always wondered if we cant just shapeshift BTC to Monero and then Monero back to BTC on a new wallet.

Would that not make it untraceable again? We as a community need to figure out how we can keep this crypto space going and stay out of our local prisons at the same time.

Has anyone looked in to this as yet?
