Russia to make first big CryptoMistake — and Consequences
[Текст на српском] According to the Russian Minister of Communications Nikolay Nikiforov, President Vladimir Putin allegedly announced creation of state controlled ‘CryptoRuble’. If true, that would be a serious mistake, so uncharacteristic for the current Russian leadership.
“I confidently declare that we run CryptoRuble for one simple reason: if we do not, then after 2 months our neighbors in the EurAsEC will.”
— Nikolay Nikiforov
This move could also mean a complete ban on all cryptocurrencies within Russia. It is a bit unusual for an otherwise very cautious government, to undertake measures without even trying to comprehend the technology. Let's remember that Senate of Canada and Economics References Committee of the Australian Senate have called Andreas M. Antonopoulos in search of explanation. It would seem that recent meeting of Vitalik Buterin with the President Vladimir Putin did not went well.
So, if this is confirmed, we can expect at least two things in the future:
Russia will be the first state to experience impossibility of securing centralised cryptocurrency
Creation of the antigovernment cryptoresistance movement in Russia
… with all the consequences of those events.

Thanks, @pixresteemer.
this is far from a mistake, it is risky but a risk worth taking if we're to develop our understanding of a centralised crypto and to further make blockchain and cryptos a mainstream idea
We have experiences with centralised anything, since the beginning of the Internet and full understanding @idabble. That's why blockchain has been created. It's a mistake.
