Also, the value of BIitcoin vs the values of Bitcoin
The value is whatever people place upon Bitcoin/Blockchain, the dollar value or whatever it might be exchanged into like a stable coin or an Alt coin.
The real value for me is that Bitcoin/Blockchain is more fair by removing central points of failure, there is consensus on proposals. It’s decentralized, public and open source on GitHub. I find value that so many humans are working together from around the world are working to make it better everyday. I also think that translates to a more valuable Bitcoin dollar wise. People say Bitcoin allows people to become their own bank but mainstream adoption without knowing the values within Bitcoin will be a massive missed opportunity for people to learn about self ownership. To learn how important it is to be able to freely and easily transact among each other.
Also, I’ll talk about the Mt. Gox advocacy group suite party I attended. This group is helping people recover their lost Bitcoin. At the time of the incident in 2014, Mt. Gox accounted for 70% of Bitcoin trading volume. The market is still feeling the effect and the need to hold your own private keys it also still a concern.
Conspiracy Sunday? Nah, this is real... China is using Blockchain to continue oppressing it’s people. Will Blockchain protect privacy or usher in a control grid? If it’s up to China we already know the answer... here are a couple articles that expand on China’s “social credit” system.
