Gemini pays $5 million to settle CFTC case

Do you remember some of the cases against crypto companies in the last few years?

Most were brought by the SEC and most ended in massive settlements fines or both.

Well Gemini just settled with the CFTC for $5 million to dismiss their case without going to court.

Not every case is the same of course but this number is much smaller than most of the other numbers we have been seeing.

This is the SEC ruined the industry.

They were unreasonable in every way.
