Excellent! When you credit other people you will build networks with them and maybe also get their support. Since you are new, maybe you don't know that you also earn for upvoting other people's posts, commenting on them, AND also resharing/resteeming them. So it is a win win. =)
On Steemit, we love original content! Many other newcomers try to cheat with copy and paste from other websites. Don't do this! You maybe voted down and lose earnings and your reputation ranking.
Be patient with building an audience. Steemit is not get rich quick scheme. It is about the people the relationships you build here.
