03/11/2019: Gearing up for Opening Day

Updates on Project Greenback and Amalgam

For this week, we have updates on Project Greenback and Amalgam.

Project Greenback

Greenback remains on schedule for the March 24, 2019, opening date.

The location is still under deliberation, with a final determination set for the end of this week.

The service essentials (physical, digital, merchant) are still a work-in-progress.

The physical essentials (e.g., point-of-sale system) have been acquired, with only the digital essentials (e.g., cryptocurrency wallets, full nodes, block explorers) still left to complete before the opening date. The merchant essentials is also still be worked on, and will probably be the part that will occupy most of our time.

The Terms of Service (ToS), Privacy Policy (PP), and the Compliance Program (CP) are currently drafted, but may be revised before the March 24, 2019, opening date. The ToS, PP and CP will be released on our website after they are revised.

We are also looking for “beta testers” to test out the service before we go live. If you want to be a “beta tester,” please send an email to [email protected].

Amalgam

The Amalgam staff is currently in the process of choosing article topics for the April issue.
