Editorial | FOMO - Why Isn't It A Psychological Disorder?
My very first post on Steemit is titled "Always feel like you are watching some other coin moon? Congrats! You have FOMO. Here is my perspective on how to deal with it". I'm very proud of it (it received 4 upvotes and 0.02 - ha), but it is a fitting first post that applies to everyone in crypto.
I think I will reference it every quarter because we need to remind ourselves that feeling FOMO is natural, and we should try to master it as much as possible.
The cryptocurrency market is blowing up. I want to be "all-in" on everything. What is the solution? Is there one? Once you take a position in a coin you will likely feel FOMO once you see another coin moon. You can never beat FOMO. Once you figure that out, you will be at the first step at controlling FOMO instead of letting FOMO rule you.
FOMO is such a powerful emotion that I can't believe there isn't formal therapy to help me manage it. Until then, I have to keep telling myself what I tell other people: there will always be big opportunities. You will miss more boats than you catch. That's OK: wait for the next boat.
A new world order is being created right before our eyes. Crypto is a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I predict that 2018 will be bigger than 2017.
The big takeaway here is don't let FOMO control your trading. You need to control your FOMO as much as possible so you don't make costly trading mistakes.
Good luck out there. Let us all be part of the new class of people that is helping build the future.

I have been fighting with FOMO since I realised I didnt invest early enough into Bitcoins :( But Good post!!
I had a chance to invest early, but I didn't want explain to my wife that I had no idea what bitcoin was, but I had a hunch that it could be valuable. I really had no idea so I decided not to even approach my wife. Ha - if I were single I probably would have thrown in 10k and be a crypto-millionaire right now - ha.
Good call investing early on!! :)
Thank you very much for this information
I like your posts
I also wrote a post about it:

Your FOMO post is much better than mine - thank you for flagging it!
I have JOMO when I know something will be a burden, such as Facebook. I think Facebook is great, but I didn't want to be a slave to updating it on a daily basis. The cost/benefit wasn't there. The cost of time is way to high.
Thanks for commenting!
Thank you @kryptonaut
My referral was not to check, who is better :)
Just so you read a post on the same subject.
No miscommunication here: your post was clear that you were not checking. Even if you were, as long as you had a civilized comment then I wouldn't have minded either :)
Thank you very much dear friend

I currently have this FOMO. Anxious but know I will continue to make mistakes if I trade. I am just sitting on my hands but then again what if I am losing out by doing that?
