Caribbean: an island for sale for 570 bitcoins

While some digital wallet owners prefer to spend their money in virtual kittens, others are investing in other more profitable areas such as real estate. And why not buy a Caribbean island with its bitcoin?

Investors continue to work and invest in the island territories of the Caribbean, despite the risk of natural disasters like recent hurricanes.

We have just discovered that a Caribbean island is currently on sale at 5.3 million pounds, just over 6 million euros. In fact, it is not an entire island, but only a portion equivalent to 13 acres (about 5.26 hectares) located in a bay called Bloody Bay.

What is surprising in this sale is especially the "money" imposed by the sellers that is Bitcoin. Indeed, to afford this piece of paradise, it will be necessary to have a digital wallet and then pay a little over 570 BTC. The sellers insist on this condition to accept only cryptocurrencies, while adding that the future owner will be entitled to plans for villa and beach bar.

But the fact of having a price displayed in Bitcoin does not chill investors and wealthy individuals who want to afford this little corner of Caribbean paradise.

The importance of Bitcoin on the real estate market

Although surprising, this is not the first time that land or real estate is sold exclusively in cryptocurrency. For example, a luxury mansion in Miami or a house in Grimsby, England, which has attracted many bitcoin owners.

Recently, a 17 million pound Notting Hill mansion was also put on sale in BTC last October. According to the seller of the property, namely London Wall real estate company, the London mansion has aroused a lot of greed, most of which come from wealthy young Asian.

All this only confirms that Bitcoin and cryptocurrency are gaining ground on the real estate market, and this is not likely to stop anytime soon.
