Today may be an interesting day. I am excited to see if the market will be going up or down. Many coins show chart patterns that are about to turn bearish, if we do not get positive impulses including bitcoin. If BTC has a strong red day it will fall out of the triangle and more selling is likely to be triggered.

However there are reasons that make me still be optimistic about have a good day today.

First US pay checks coming in

In the US it is standard to be paid twice a month, as a result most people get paid on the 15. and last day of each month. Many people may have some extra cash to invest today.

Wall Street Bonuses

In addition to first pay checks some of Wall Street bonus of q4 and 2017 will be paid out today. Truthfully most bonuses will be paid later and some even only next month but as bonuses are coming in, Wall Street people are likely to invest some of these bonuses back into crypto

Often things turn around mid January

As Johann Barbie from @acebusters has pointed out here, we often have correction early in Jan followed by a rise later in the month

My Bet

The strongest reason however for it to be a Green Day today is that I offered a friend to bet $1000 on a positive day today and he declined. So If today goes green I basically lose $1000. If I had made the bet today would probably go red, but since I did not most likely it should go green.
