I agree that BTC fees are getting too high, even as a store of value. I'm not sure how I feel about BCC because of all the negative media attention as well as the extremely mixed feelings amongst the crypto community. I think there will come a point that BTC will either have lower fees or start to lose significant value to other coins who present a better long-term storage capacity.
