Debit Card Review and Comparison — TenX, Monaco, Change, Polybius, TokenCard, Bankera!

in #bitcoin7 years ago (edited)

ICOs from Asia & Europe aim to to solve the problem of cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have been a fascination for its stored value utility but people realise  that it is hard to connect this revolutionary technology to “real world transactions”.

In 2017, companies in this industry have raised in total of 150 million USD. TenX got 80 million USD (245,832 ETH), Polybius got 32 million USD (12 379 BTC), Monaco got 25 million USD (71,392 ETH) and TokenCard got 13 million USD. Two companies ICOs that are still minting their coins in 2017 there is Change and Bankera got 75 million USD and 210 million USD respectively.

Analyzing of the 6 proposed “crypto debit card”, comparing these companies in areas that I believe  will be the the success factors in blockchain industry.

From the operational side I highlight product status and regulatory environment. Platforms which need regulatory approval or license, have been downgraded due to the increased risk and uncertainty.

Most important factor there is credibility where collected endorsements from reputable institutions.

Analysis shows that the  winner in the post-ICO category is remains TenX. Whereas Polybius remains sophisticated  in terms of different service offering, this also translates to higher risk of setbacks.

Thanks for your post comparing all these cards. I've only heard of tenx before reading your post. They seem to be quite good, now waiting for their iOS app to go live. Are they fully up and running yet by the way?

Their app is up now! 🎉

Thanks, glad you like my post.
