The Most Down to Earth Crypto Project Out There

Garvey Spacecraft Corp. has been working for several years on the Nanosat Launch Vehicle, a two-stage vehicle designed to launch payloads weighing a few dozen kilograms into low Earth orbit. That design will serve as the basis for Vector Space System’s Vector 1 vehicle. - See more at:

Keith, you mean this is the most down to earth crypto project out there?

Wish I thought of that lol

For what? You can always edit your post ! :P

:-) Done

Yep stocking up now lots of potential!

Yessir it does :)

Imagine to potential for Steemit if it was broadcasted through decentralized satellites allowing anyone anywhere to access it.

That would be cool but damn bro decentralized satellite uplinking/downlinking sounds far out there like we haven't even established a fully developed mesh network on the ground yet.

That is exactly what the Nexus Project aims to do. Uplinks, decentralized relays and mobile hardware devices using LIFI instead of Radio waves :-) If you build it, they will come.

Very true I for one am excited about that if Nexus really does pull that off then the future doesn't look so dark after all!

Thank you CC. Viz is a solid dev and always working hard on this project.

We will free Crypto from the bindings of wired internet cables strung across the Oceans that have us at the mercy of those who control them or have the ability to cut them off.

Amen my man!

I'm pretty sure there's good reasons google and facebook are experimenting with drones and balloons to extend their networks instead of satellites. A cube sat network is not something a small crypto company can do yet.

Power is probably the main issue. Broadcasting a useful signal requires a lot of power. This means big solar panels and a big antenna. So right away the design just turns into a regular satellite which costs millions of dollars to design and launch.

Reliability is the other issue. Signal interference from weather, other signals or even jamming is always an issue over a wireless network. Wired systems are much more reliable.

I like the grandiose thinking though. Sometimes it pays to aim high.

All these issues are being worked on. When GOOGLE and FACEBOOK start launching rockets let me know... until then good luck with their hot air balloons. You are talking about antennas... Radio signals are not the same as light signals. LIFI is the way to go. Radio signals are the SNAIL MAIL of connectivity and require great deals of power.

Do you think that a light signal is less prone to interference and lower power consumption than radio signals?

"Atmospheric and fog attenuation, which are exponential in nature, limit practical range of FSO (free space optical communication) devices to several kilometres." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free-space_optical_communication

If there is such thing as a long range low power laser let me know. I have not heard of one. At least not one that works over more than 10 or 20 feet.

As far as rockets go. That's the easy part. The technology is there already.

LiFi sounds like it will be very useful for home wifi networks. But certainly not space based telecommunications.

I have similar predictions, a month ago i invested all my bitcoins with NXT to get a stake at ardor for free. After hearing about steem i sipphoned half of it to steem and steem dollars... we hope steem would give u more excitement as it did the past week...
