Kings of the Bitcoin Jungle

The recent behaviour of digital assets has been volatile - ya think?.
Let’s remember that there are large, powerful investors that have wanted to own Bitcoin for a while now. They have witnessed the tremendous run up in prices along with the rest of us. I would argue that many have missed out on the infant stage of this crypto-currency bull market in digital assets , largely because involvement takes a degree of technical savvy that many older, powerful, but sophisticated players do not have.
Can you say; Ethereum? I can’t even pronounce Ethereum.
Their children or grandchildren may be comfortable with the tech, but they are not; not yet.

This market trend is so new, so early in it’s development, many deep pocketed investors have not been on board yet. Certainly regulation prevents many funds, and big institutional money from participating in such markets at this point. But everyone has witnessed bitcoins’ amazing move.
The big boys have wanted to own it for a while now, but they would never pay full price for any market; because they own the market and essentially do control prices when the choose to. They’re strategy is to use their size, deep pockets, media manipulation and dominating influence to gain control.
The bitcoin futures markets?
Bitcoin and cryptocurrency ETF’s?
I wonder if these products have been introduced to truly benefit the small investor?
Or, are they tools in the belt of the big boys. Hmmm? Pass me the hammer will ya?

And, a hammer it is !
Over the last few days bitcoin (and crypto) has been smashed down unmercifully.
What in the world is going on? I thought bitcoin was a good investment? Ya know, only a limited supply to be mined, mobile currency, privacy, lack of government control, etc, etc.

Nothing has changed in that regard, bitcoin has amazing potential.
But right now, these powerful Gorilla investors are pulling it down to scare out all the small, weak players, and they do this - so they themselves can accumulate at low prices. They will bid it back up when they choose to. Remember, it’s the gorilla’s that rule the markets. They are buying at these levels - so they gotta take it higher at some point to book big profits.
Perhaps one should grab onto their tails and go for the ride.

Will these levels of support hold on the BTC / Yen?

Over the last several weeks all crypto currencies including bitcoin, have sold off big time.
But the reality is that Bitcoin has now crushed and disappointed many small investors.
Over the next several weeks the emotional impact will be substantial for the tech savvy yet, unsophisticated investor. It seems obvious now, that these are two distinct areas of expertise that are comprised of skill subsets all there own. Technological knowledge and ability does not automatically equate to talent as an investor. And some may say, nor does it equate to good writing!

Panic is now running rampant. Fear fills social media, twitter, and cnbc.
The unfortunate result for many of these 1st time speculators is
they will capitulate (puke out) their positions, and the big boys will be there, to help them with their pain and gladly buy from them. This cycle of human emotion and irrational behaviour is not a new phenomenon. It’s historically well documented (see “Reminiscences of a Stock Operator” and the writings of famed trader Jesse Livermore).
The market exists to transfer wealth. The wealth is transferred from the small, unsophisticated to the large gorilla investor. After all who is the king of this jungle?
