Patrick Byrne, the CEO of Overstock.com, has been a long advocate of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. He is also a critic of traditional financial system, and he had established a campaign against illegal short selling.

Short selling, in the nutshell, means that you sell something that you don't own or have. It's being used for stock price manipulations.
