Happy Birthday Bitcoin now whose your Daddy?

Of course Bitcoin would be blossoming on his birthday, as he climbs back up to above $15k today. You may be aware that BTC was born on 3 January 2009, according to most people, though some think 18 August 2008 is the original birth date, that being the day the domain name bitcoin.org was registered. Nevertheless, I like 3 January 2009 as Satoshi implemented the Bitcoin software as open source code and released it on that day.

We may know Bitcoin well enough, although nobody knows him really, or what he will do or where he will go in the short or long term future. But who is his daddy, Satoshi Nakamoto really? Some say he is an Australian national, due to the timestamps on his +500 forum posts, but that is just a calculated guess.

The name is a pseudonym of course. “Satoshi” apparently means "clear thinking, quick witted or wise". “Naka” can mean “medium, inside, or relationship” and “Moto” means “origin”, or “foundation” according to my research. Satoshi himself may have mined around 1 million coins – the wise inside originator that he is. Curiously 64% of all Bitcoins mined have remained untouched in wallets since inception. Makes you wonder.
