In this discussion I speak with long-time Bitcoin entrepreneur, speaker and commentator, Bobby Lee.

Bobby is most well-known for being the co-founder and CEO of the world's longest-running Bitcoin exchange, BTCC (formerly BTCChina). He is also a board member of the Bitcoin Foundation, the oldest and largest Bitcoin advocacy organization.

Since he began his involvement in the Bitcoin / Cryptocurrency ecosystem, Bobby has been a highly respected leader.

He is known for his clear, informed, and unbiased opinions on what's going on in the space, and as a result has been a sought-after presenter and speaker at many conferences and events, as well as a guest commentator on the world's most watched financial news programs.

Bobby left his role as CEO at BTCC after it was acquired in early 2018. Since then, aside from enjoying some well-deserved rest and a little poker, Bobby has been focusing on his role as an educator and speaker.

As such, he was the Keynote speaker on the Coinsbank Blockchain Cruise in August 2018.

I've actually known Bobby since 2015, and have already recorded three discussions with him, one each year, on a show I host, the 'Tech in Shanghai' podcast (Link Below).

When I saw that he would be speaking on the cruise, I reached out to him to see if he would have time to get together on the ship for another chat. As usual, he generously obliged, and while we were out to sea, we sat down for our fourth discussion on everything Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency.

As always, I really enjoyed this conversation. Though we did touch on some of the relevant news items which emerged over the last year (ICO boom, Bull/Bear market, Scaling Debate, Regulation etc.), we actually spent a lot of the discussion on the fundamentals of Bitcoin, why it exists, why it is valuable, and why it's something that could provide tremendous benefit to the world.
