CoinPot - How to Fix Invalid Bitcoin Cash Address

If you are like me and recently returned to CoinPot you may have noticed that withdrawing Bitcoin Cash to Coinbase gives an Invalid Wallet Address when you try to withdraw.

Well earlier in 2018 BCH changed its wallet address format to better differentiate between BTC Addresses. Since CoinPot has not updated their accepted format, you will have to use what is known as a "Legacy Address".

In order to access the legacy address, you must go to your Coinbase account and do the following steps:

  • Select Tools
  • Select BCH Wallet
  • Click on the Details Button

This will display your Coinbase BCH Wallet Address in both the new and legacy format. Use the legacy format for CoinPot.
