When you see Western Union, founded in 1851, joining forces with one of the largest Crypto currency exchanges (Coinbase), you now the hand writing is on the wall. The global banking system is about as up to date and efficient as drum brakes on a car. The antiquated banking system is dying. For over 166 years Western Union has been used to wire money. They used the "new" technology of wire telegraph (October of 1832, Baron Schilling) to launch their services. 166 years ago they were on the cutting edge of technology. Back then a wire transfer was much faster than the pony express. Today, the block chain technology and the public ledger, combined with the internet, is the modern day telegraph. 

The old way of banking and transferring money is dying. Western Union is smart enough to see this and hitch their wagon to crypto currencies. They are forming a strategic alliance with Coinbase to utilize Ethereum smart contracts and move into the 21st century. Trust me, if Western Union did not realize crypto currency and the block chain are not here to stay, they would not have partnered up. 

With Fortune 100 companies daily coming on board and using block chain technology, should not you also be getting on board?
