The inherent scarcity due to the finite amount of bitcoin is key to it holding its value. Most other altcoins follow in bitcoins design. I believe it is more like .003% chance of dropping to zero not 30% lol. Ah well then again all money is nothing more than a consensual hallucination that we buy into to make it real. I believe blockchain may actually be instrumental in making ALL money obsolete one day.....
