New developments for Ethereum Classic
It seems to me that the network lacks detailed information about the state of the Etherium Classic. And I decided to fix it and indicate some useful links.
Development is more active than ever
There are a lot of great projects, we have a new wallet, a new software for nodes and even new developer tools.
Please note that these projects are still in development. Some of them can be used, others can not. Standing things require effort, not all at once, and the Classic project is aimed at a long-term perspective.
But I hope u will agree that we have come a long way in just a year.
For users
Emerald Wallet : Beta is now available, many improvements in terms of the user interface and interactions with it.
Mantis : alpha-version, completely new software for nodes, which should work faster and more stable.
Daedulus : alpha version, a new purse, in which Mantis will be used as a backend; he supports Classic and Cardano .
Cross-Chain ECNS : support for naming in multiple chains. The classic gets .etc, Expanse - .exp, Ubiq - .ubq. It will be easier for users to send money.
My Ether Wallet / Classic Ether Wallet : we improve the integration of Classic with MEW.
ClassicMask : MetaMask for the Classic network. Fans of the plugin can now use its analog for the Classic network!
For technicians
Decentralized mining : at an early stage of development, will give miners the opportunity to leave centralized pools, which will allow for a more decentralized network.
Viper : A new compiler developed on the side of the Classic, for an improved programming language of contracts that was created on the side of the Etherium.
SputnikVM : used to test new contracts Classic, written on Rust, it is planned to add features to simplify the development and support of all major OS. I'm really looking forward to the JSONRPC commands, which can change the state of the testing environment.
For the blockade
ECIP-1017 : limiting the maximum number of ETCs, which will allow the Classic project to restrain constant inflation. The classic will reach the emission limit in about 2059.
ECIP-1027 : Proposal for the expansion of the Classic with the help of the side-people. Look at Bitcoin. It seems that they are all pretty good. Neither the Classic nor the Etherium now has problems with scaling ( Editor's note: rather controversial statement: 1 , 2 ), but always need to think about the future.
ECIP-1025 : allows you to make anonymous transactions via RingCT or zkSNARK . Imagine a private Transaction Monero / ZCash, but on Classic. Personally, I support RingCT.
