Exchange BitMEX launched futures for Bitcoin Cash

Bitmex has added support for Bitcoin Cash (BCH) futures contracts

The new contracts have the following specification:

• symbol: BCHX17;
• Expiry date: November 24, 2017;
• Cost of the contract: 1 BCH;
• the basis is the spot price of Bitcoin Cash on the Poloniex exchange;
• Shoulder size: 20x.

As can be seen in the chart above, the market is not particularly positive about the short-term growth prospects for the Bitcoin Cash crypto currency.

Distribution of Bitcoin Cash

Also, the exchange said that until December 31 will distribute the Bitcoin Cash crypto currency among the holders of bitcoins on the margin balance. The BCH amount to which the user is entitled will be determined based on the state of the balance as of August 1, 2017, a few seconds after block 478 588.

At the same time, users will receive not BCH coins, but their equivalent amount in crypto currency, bitcoin.

BitMEX Attitude to Hardcore

BitMEX also said that it is opposed to the controversial hardcore and does not agree with the principles on which the new Bitcoin Cash crypto currency was formed. In particular, the Bitcoin Cash project team did not provide enough time for proper preparation before the hard-core, nor did it provide an exhaustive amount of information about it.

"We consider such actions dangerous, because they lead to undesirable costs, which are borne by the companies and their clients," the exchange's website notes.
Also, the management of BitMEX invited users to get acquainted with the company 's policy regarding bitcoins hardcore.

"Nevertheless, months after the hard-core, it became obvious that this coin still has a certain value. Therefore, we decided to enroll bitcoins at the corresponding Bitcoin Cash price. Do not expect that in the future the exchange will act in the same way. BitMEX reserves the right to decide whether to charge or not accrue the coins received as a result of the hardcore. If there are doubts, always withdraw funds. "
As you know, the Bitmex exchange is an ardent supporter of Bitcoin Core.

Earlier, futures for increasing the size of the bitcoin block were added to the BitMEX stock exchange.
