Year 2050 in Bitlandia…

Bitcoin is the only relevant currency in Bitlandia (the former World).
The price of 1 Bitcoin is 10 million Tether (similar to the banned word dollar).

Although Bitlandia is now formally decentralised, there are only two power fractions: the miner X and the miner Y.
The two miners are constantly in battle and play all kind of Machiavellian games to keep ahead.

This year has been particularly harsh.
The Bitcoin price has plummeted 90% as the there are a no more potential buyers of Bitcoin. Miner Y has suggested to try and find another planet that can buy Bitcoin.

There are no longer any races, gender left, and the political fractions are all gone. There are those that got Bitcoin, the Bitcoiners, and those that do not own Bitcoins, the non-Bitcoiners.

Among the Bitcoiners, the Whales own around 99% of the Bitcoins. The richest Whale even bought Dubai with Bitcoin!
The non-Bitcoiners struggle hard to get into Bitcoin…

In the main street of the biggest city in Bitlandia, BitCity, an old and grey non-Bitcoiner mumbles something about the days when money was on paper. He was then a rich man. He worked in something called a bank (GT Moron or something). He does not dare talking about fiat. It is a banned world. He regrets he did not buy Bitcoin when it was 50000 Tether.

Most of the politics in Bitlandia have to do with the annual main event, which is called the Forkening. Usually, in the autumn, the miners decide to become even richer. They create a new bitcoin out of nothing! Almost like magic.

This year, the discussion between the miners has been particularly rough, and some of the CBEs (chief bitcoin engineers) of miner Y have disappeared and not returned. Some speculators think that the fraction that backs Bitcoin Trash is going to win.

The global celebration is Satoshi’s day on October 31 to celebrate the enigmatic Satoshi Nakamoto. Nobody has ever seen him. He supposedly was a God sent from the sky with the White Paper that gave humans Bitcoin. On Satoshi’s day the richest Whales give out a modest amount of satoshis of Bitcoin to some lucky non-Bitcoiners. Everyone wants to be in the ballot!

There are not many rules left in Bitlandia.
Some words are banned: government, centralised, fiat and dollar.
Besides that everybody can do what they please!
Thus, the crime rate (or fun rate) is rampant: The main entertainment for the young non-Bitcoiners is violence or try to steel the master keys from a lost Bitcoiner that went outside the barricaded complexes where the Bitcoiners live.

To pay with Bitcoin can be challenging. For the Whales it is like the speed of light! They bribe the miners to pass their payments through. For the minnows the payments can be put on something called hold…
If you pay in the start of the year, you’ll be lucky if you get your payment through to Satoshis’s day.

Bitlandia is a dark place: Over BitCity the smog belt is 2 km thick. It is hard to see the sun.
The air pollution is toxic, and children only stay inside.

The main reason is that mining of Bitcoins consumes 10 times more electricity than rest-Bitlandia.
The main source of energy for the miners is still coal in former-China, although it gets harder and harder to get coal. The mines are now 10 km deep.

From a young age, parents try to learn their children everything about Bitcoin, so that the youngsters can become a successful Bitcoin owner.

At the biggest school in BitCity there are only deranged computers from the miners. Nobody, except the Whales can buy new computers, because the graphic cards are extremely expensive as the miner Y has a 10 year agreement with the biggest company in Bitlandia, nVidia, to buy graphic cards at a ridiculously high price, to be able to compete against miner X.

All in all, the Bitlandians are pretty satisfied with their lives. They mostly worry about the Bitcoin price.
Hopefully, next year Bitcoin will skyrocket again!

This post is mostly satirical, and do not necessarily represent my personal stance.
But, it is always useful to like at both side of the coin…errhh...Bitcoin, right?
