RE: Bitcoin Transaction Fees are Dropping to $1, Can This be Sustained Long-Term?

in #bitcoin6 years ago

Have the fundamentals changed? Can the network process more transactions all of a sudden? No. 100% non-sustainable without something supporting supporting it. Bitcoin is cripple coin. It will either become unusable or it will stop being used. Those are literally the options until blocksize increase or LN (or something like it) becomes more than vapor.

Thanks for the answer my man Jake unfortunately I hate to say you're right Bitcoin is definitely becoming more and more obsolete and it sucks but the world is constantly changing only time will tell 😁 gave you a follow have a great day 😁💪

Right. Such a shame that segwit2x did not come about. Bitcoin still has so much mind share with people entering the market and that is all that keeps its price up. Otherwise, over the past months it has been nothing but a heartwrenching and frustrating pain to use. I literally grit my teeth when I had to move Bitcoin. Other than the mindshare and the huge hashing power backing it, Bitcoin has nothing over any other coin. I hope it does not become obsolete but I don't see moves being made to alter course.

The funny thing is that if fees do not go back up, that is a sound indicator that nobody wants to use it anymore.

A very valid point 😁
