If I were a big hedge fund that missed $BTC I would short #Bitcoin to dump it’s price down as low as I can in order to then accumulate for a long term hold. For those falling for it please learn the economics of Bitcoin before you give them away to hedges

I thought that because BTC futures are cash settled they mirror rather than influence the underlying asset price? How can hedge funds move prices down using derivatives?

If they had accounts at traditional exchanges how did they miss the party? They first few entered in 2016 and then gradually joined the party. 2017 they were opening accounts like crazy.
