Google adds BCH to its currency conversion tool

in #bitcoin6 years ago

The currency converter integrated into the Google search engine already offered, among the selectable currencies, bitcoin , litecoin and ether . Yesterday, Google added Bitcoin Cash (BCH) to this list.

4 years ago, Google added Bitcoin to its currency conversion tool . At that time, 1 BTC was worth about $ 610 . The prices were indexed to those of Coinbase , and this new feature followed similar initiatives taken by Microsoft and its search engine Bing , Yahoo! Finance or Bloomberg . The years and months that followed added Litcoin (LTC) and Ether (ETH) to the Google widget.

Yesterday, Google added BCH to its conversion tool. Prices are always indexed to those of Coinbase, as specified in their disclaimer.

When some fans were pleased with this arrival, others did not miss the opportunity to send spades to the Bitcoin Developer Team (BTC)

I imagine it's time for Bitcoin Core people to add Google to the list of companies to boycott .

This is a reference to a boycott instigated by Bitcoin . Indeed, the teams at the helm of Bitcoin took advantage of the redesign of their site to remove all references to some industry players, including Coinbase and Bitpay . The reason given was their support to fork litigation (and canceled) SegWit2x , but supporters of Bitcoin Cash saw it as an attack to the "competition" .

Anyway, it's a small step closer to adoption, and maybe a Google confession that starts recognizing cryptos as legitimate currency .
