How To Export Your Private Keys in the Jaxx WalletsteemCreated with Sketch.

Given the upcoming Bitcoin Gold and Bitcoin SegWit2X (B2X) forks, I thought I'd put a very quick and dirty tutorial.

  1. Start your Jaxx Wallet, and click on the three lines icon to open up the Settings Menu
    Step 1.jpg

  2. Click the Tools option
    Step 2.jpg

  3. Click the option to Display Private Keys
    Step 3.jpg

  4. Wait 5 seconds and click the I Understand button on the bottom right
    Step 4.jpg

  5. If you set up your PIN (you should), enter it now.
    Step 5.jpg

  6. In this case, we just want the Bitcoin Keys, so click that option. If you want the others for safe keeping, you can do them individually. So, click Display Bitcoin Keys.
    Step 6.jpg

  7. Click the Export button - you may have more than 1 key. You'll need them all.
    Step 7.jpg

  8. Click the Copy All button
    Step 8.jpg

  9. Open up Notepad on Windows, or TextEdit on a Mac (or any other text editor, and then Paste your keys into that and save the file somewhere safe (I like to put it in a password protected .zip file).
    Step 9.jpg

And that's it. You'll have to import the private keys into a wallet like Electrum, in order to claim your Bitcoin Gold. They will announce on their website, the necessary steps.

Until then, keep your Bitcoin in your wallet :)
