Clif on the A2A Podcast about his 2018 forecast

I apologize for the note-taking format of this article, but time is short these days, due to family issues. I hope it's intelligible enough.

Bitcoin futures - no impact on Bitcoin. It's already an open system. It's more dangerous for the people offering futures. It may or may not have a marginal impact, but last year the datasets were still showing $13,888 by mid February 2018. Long before any knowledge of futures coming out. Therefore Clif doesn't believe the futures will have much of an impact.

Clif's opinion is that the $13,888 price is independent of the futures. And there's data in the reports to support a bad end for the Bitcoin futures.

Very early Spring value of 20 odd thousand for Bitcoin in the datasets.

There are always big drops - it's the nature of Bitcoin. But overall the forecast for 2018 is about the same as for 2017 in terms of gains. There area a lot more cryptos now, so the gains may be a bit more diluted (especially around May).

Fall of the Petrodollar and the rise of the Petroyuan

Any news on Petrodollar or Petroyuan? Language is not good but there's not dates. A general sense of crumbling or falling, stumbling, not being very robust. There's no date in the datasets for its cessation. Clif supposes the dollar will slide faster than up to this point.

The Yuan is going to have a huge impact, but the larger impact (in the immediacy language - around early May perhaps) the data sees a lot more impacts on the oil producing states in the Americas (Venezuela, Central America, Mexico). There may be a new buying or selling consortium (as opposed to OPEC) involving the Americas and China, and a lot of trouble for Saudi Arabia.

Per the datasets, by 2022 the US will be a minor currency. We should see a lot of crypto businesses rise up as the US dollar goes down.

Asset-backed Cryptos

Lots of stuff in the datasets. Negative for fiat. Clif is waiting for specific language about the asset-backed cryptos. And a lot of cryptos are going to be failing, maybe 9 out of the first 10. There's no legal tie between the crypto and the asset (the asset can be seized and invalidate the crypto). This should come out in China or Asia first.

The governments in many areas are going to get rapacious and seize assets. There will be a number of governments that will be squeezing their millionaires and billionaires to try and get cash to sustain themselves.

Despite all the manipulation Clif expects metals to start breaking out in early March, namely Silver, from the crypto currency side. Cryptos backed by metals.

Cryptos and silver are going to be the final nails in the coffin - there's no date -- there's an ICO backed by silver that has a very good acceptance, which will be the catalyst. He believes in the early part of March we should start to see this, and later Silver should break out.

Gold 25% the value of Bitcoin

The datasets show Gold as being 1/4 of the value of a Bitcoin. But if you look at the debt clock, Gold is at 5000. Clif suspects that in 2018, we should either see 1 oz. of Gold at 1/4 of the price of Bitcoin for a short amount of time. Or, it can be a longer lasting situation and we'll have $5000 Gold by March/April/May. And Gold may continue to rise the rest of the year.

Crypto Recommendations

Cloak coin and Monero, which are not huge hits. Clif likes them because of the code. Clif hates Ripple because it is crap code and it is not mined. And you have to watch out for Ripple. Litecoin and Bitcoin are gearing up for smart contracts, which will increase their value. Litecoin shows up as doing slightly better than Gold. And it will scale with Bitcoin at 1/5th the value of Bitcoin.

DigiByte

Good coin. Has some surprises coming over the next couple of years starting at the end of 2018, perhaps some announcement or some threshold which comes to fruition in 2019. This is a keeper a long term hold.

Weather

East Coast New storms starting at 28th of January - a cold windy abnormal storm, huge amounts of rain. Storms across the Great Lakes will connect with storms from Gulf and blow into the East Coast. Slow moving and continually raining, an inch an hour for days type of thing. Part of the conditions of the Mini Ice Age we're entering.

Deep State

2021 should be the cessation of the Deep State. It should erupt in March of this year, but won't settle down and have a pinnacle for several years. Truth and reconciliation that's required. A lot of years to get through it.
