South Korea legitimizes blockchain: announced

The South Korean government can recognize the digital currency market as a separate industry and assign cryptocurrency companies to regulated financial institutions. Companies, which activities are based on the cryptocurrency trading/(and more) will be divided into several groups (at the legal level). This new classification will be fully completed in the end of this month. It is supposed that this will change the order of regulation and acceptance of the сrypto and blockchain in the region.

The widespread distribution of cryptocurrency in Asia is not new. As example, 33,000 stores in South Korea use ADA (Cardano) as a result of partnership with Metaps Plus. And this is the data only from one project (currency). And how many transactions are made in the region every day, including BTC and altcoins. At this stage of crypto-worldwide-development, we have already realized that changes in "far Asia" can significantly affect the market.

Malta is 1st to provide ‘Legal Certainty’ for crypto

3 new laws will be introduced in region. Malta already has a large base of working with cryptocurrencies, and the industry as a whole. More and more companies prefer to get under the legal "wing" of the region, making their activity much easier and protected.

The high results of the platform can be explained with election of new consensus in NEO’s MainNet. Birth of a new independent node was an important step towards the decentralization of the network.

For a long time, this project was heavily criticized, including by the community. All nodes were managed by NEO. At the moment, the appearing of a new consensus can start a new time in the evolution of the project. City of Zion (CoZ) is an independent group of enthusiasts, who are code designers, other specialists and more, so, now they control 1 of the 7 nodes in the NEO. But, the other 6 is still in the arms of the project.

It’s also said that is still hard to complete the decentralization process. But, all decisions for that goal can be accepted very soon. Team says that that until the end of 2019, all nodes in the NEO network will be decentralized (by the election, like with CoZ).

Election is very important process in consensus and blockchain networks these days. To know more, 3nd Super Representative of the TRON was also elected just recently (Lianjinshu).
