I did successfully claimed my BCC/BCH from my Copay wallet, I think it may help. For example you have 1 BTC in the wallet A,
First, transfer your BTC to another safe wallet B controlled by you. People say it's better be safe in case anything happen to your BTC.
Second, write down your A wallet seed - 12 words . Download a BCC/BCH wallet , I used Electron-Cash, import the 12 words seeds.
Done , you will see your BCC balance.
