Emerging Applications for Blockchain Technology

here are excerpts from what I gathered from the documents released today (see source below)

Chris A Jaikaran Analyst in Cyber-security Policy he concluded that blockchain technology is already being tested by industry however, it does not appear to be replacing existing systems.

Charles H Rommine Director of Information Technology Laboratory National Institute of Standards and Technology. He concludes that blockchain technology has potential to address corporate and consumer needs using strong and verified trust model. He cautions that much work is still being done and NIST will continue it's research.

Gennaro Cuomo IBM Vice President of Blockchain Technologies. He concludes that blockchain is informative, must be open, and ready for bussiness and government use.
