NO TRANSACTION FEE Bitcoin Trick Using Coinbase!

In my previous article "Don't Tax Me Bro!" (https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@hotsauceislethal/save-money-when-sending-crypto) I told my followers how they can save money when sending crypto from exchange to exchange. I also outlined the fees and network speeds for Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin.

At the end of my article I mentioned that I would tell everyone how they could save money on Bitcoin transaction fees if they already had a Coinbase account. The last part is important since if you don't have a Coinbase account this trick won't work for you!

So here we go :)

As you will notice in this picture I am on Coinbase.com, the preferred source for bank to crypto exchanges for many Americans. If you want to buy Bitcoin from Coinbase directly you will have to pay a premium on top of the price depending on the method of payment. If you buy directly from your checking account the transaction could take several business days but will only cost you a 3% fee. If you want to buy the cryptocurrency INSTANTLY with a debit card (NO CREDIT CARDS) you can pay a 4% fee instead.

Let's head over to GDAX.com shall we because they are the sister exchange to Coinbase.com

Now the interesting thing is if you already have an account over at Coinbase, you already have all of your information on GDAX.com. Notice at the top of your browser the website is secured by none other than Coinbase, Inc.

Go ahead and click DEPOSIT on the left side of the screen and this will pop up:

If you have some crypto on your Coinbase account you can fund your GDAX account instantly and for free. Otherwise if you DON'T already have any cryptocurrency then you can always deposit funds from your checking account:

Once you have some cash in your GDAX account you can buy Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin instantly. The cool thing is that the fees are WAY lower than the fees over at Coinbase! They only charge 0.25% to buy Bitcoin (0.3% for ETH/LTC) and nothing to place a sell order in the book. Remember that Coinbase charges either 3 or 4 percent typically.

Finally, this is the important part! Once you have your Bitcoin in your GDAX account you can send it to ANY Bitcoin address FOR FREE. Yes you read that right- FOR FREE!

These tricks alone should save you quite a bit of money on fees while using cryptocurrency and especially BITCOIN :)
