Ripple presents the UNIVERSITY BLOCKCHAIN ​​research initiative

Ripple today announced the University's Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI), a collaboration with leading universities around the world to support and accelerate academic research, technical development and innovation in blockchain, cryptocurrency and digital payments.

Ripple said that they have committed more than S 50 million in funds, experience in the subject and technical resources for the first wave of university partners of the UBRI: 17 prestigious institutions around the world.

These schools will determine their own research topics and priority focus areas, while also partnering with Ripp / e to:

• Collaborate in research and technological development that stimulates general understanding and blockchain innovation.
• Create a new curriculum to meet the high demand of students to learn about blockchain, cryptocurrencies and other FinTech topics.
• Estimuleideas and dialogue between students, professors, technologists and business leaders on topics of shared interest.
