During the Bitcoin Cash Hard Fork I Failed to Put Enough BTC Aside to Benefit.

This time around I will be much more prepared and keep my BTC in a location where I can benefit from the Bitcoin Gold HardFork. Last time Bittrex was the easiest place to keep my BTC to earn Bitcoin Cash. I hope Bittrex does it again because those first few days sure were fun!

What is Bitcoin Gold?

Led by Jack Liao, CEO of Hong Kong mining firm LightningASIC, bitcoin gold is slated to launch on October 25, with its cryptocurrency being opened to exchanges on November 1.

Styled as a rebellion of sorts, bitcoin gold aims to follow a similar launch plan as bitcoin cash the blockchain that split from bitcoin this summer by way of a "hard fork." The idea of the project is to release an improved protocol, one that will challenge bitcoin cash in particular

BGold is going to be a shit coin so sell it fast and stack the real thing ;-p

I am with you on that...I dont think it will amount to much.

As I wrote, much ado about nothing.

BTC is king and isnt going to give up the crown.

The Chinese miners can fret all they want...Wall Street is entering the market and the average person with money who has just a sense of this sector knows Bitcoin and that is it. That is where the money will flow to.

LOL when wall street enters.....blood usually follows!

LOL Yes it does. However, in this instance, those snakes have similar interest as those of us holding crypto do...to make it go higher.

Wall Street needs a feeding frenzy and one thing they can do is market. Dimon is out there attacking BTC while MS and JPM along with others were loading up. What does that tell you? They might keep up the same antics throughout the rest of the year to try and influence the price downward. However, look for them to reverse the rhetoric come 2018 and start talking up cryptocurrencies. At that point, they will be selling to all their clients and raking in commissions (while watching the value of their holdings go up).

They are snakes but, at least, they are predictable....

@hilarski , @g-dubs , and @taskmaster4450 I would say, lets hold BTC to get the free air money it comes from the fork, and then do with it what ever are our plans. Perhaps sell it and get more STEEM? Just upvoted. @gold84

Yep, cheap coin that can be mined with GPU... Surely try to sell it at highest price possible...

What is the real thing??

The real bitcoin. Honey badger.

Good reminder.

We learned with the bch to hold bitcoin :)

I fear bitcoin forks give detractors on all sides reason to declare that Crypto is being pumped up by the artificial market cap, a ICO/Fork bubble, but at the same time I'm looking for a dip so I guess let it happen haha!

Does anyone know where to hold their BTC so they get Bitcoin Gold..and most people were also says BCC is crap

Getting free money is always a good thing. I have not seen announcements yet.

Yup, was not complaining about BCC when I got it..and i am still holding.

Good update information about Bitcoin Gold.

update information about Bitcoin Gold @hilarski

I read the title and thought you were saying to HODL because you believe in BTC but I take it from the article that you are looking to HODL to the split to take the free coins.

Personally, I think this fork is much ado about nothing. People seem to think it is a big deal when, Bitcoin Cash, got a lot more pub and look at it. The coin is 1/10 BTC and showing no signs of catching up.

BTC is king and I dont think anyone is knocking it off soon. Anyone hodling BTC over the next couple years should do very well.

Thanks for the post as always.

I am going to get my free Bitcoin Gold. That is a dividend as far as I am concerned. Free money? Where do I sign up?

Maybe you can tell me...where does the BTC need to reside to get the BCG (or whatever they are using)?

I heard the exchanges might not transfer it over. I have most of my BTC in a paper wallet and the rest on a Nano.

What do I need to do?

Thanks for your guidance.

Ever notice that every hard fork of bitcoin comes out of China. With all the crack downs on ICOs there I kind of see this being a DOA coin or am I totally wrong?

Yup, China is far from finished with Crypto.
