Bitcoin Segwit2X code is live w/ 88%+ consensus! Upgrade should lock in by tomorrow. Bitcoin prices are soaring!
Noob explanation:
Once the top graph BIP91 Lock-in hits 80% (blue bar) Segwit will lock. Right now well over 80% is hitting (the black bar).
We must go 336 blocks with 80% or more miners to get Segwit in from block 476448. Upgrade should activate around 9pm tomorrow 7/18.
I hope this helps. Its not over yet but it looks like Segwit is for sure getting in and there will only be one Bitcoin. Please everyone claim down. Crypto is still on a big discount from the crash so its still a good time to be buying. This could be last chance to buy this low. Good luck.
Additionally, I wanted to clear up the Aug. 1st deadline BIP 148 UASF is null if Segwit2X locks in before. The UASF is making Segwit2X happen but is not need after activation. UASF was perceived dangerous b/c it could split change in two since it requires only small minority of nodes. Segwit2X def looks like it has 90-95% of total consensus which is very very good and should be very small risk of chain split.
