Segwit 2x Working Group Will Be Responsible For The Implementation Of Bitcoin New York Consensus Code

Bitcoin.com foreign media recently reported that a Bitcoin written by Calvin Rechner proposed improvements (BIP) has been submitted to the Bitcoin developer mailing list which, while Bitcoin developer and Bloq CEO Jeff Garzik then launched another A plan designed to combine the isolation test (Segwit) and 2MB block expansion. On May 30, Mr. Garzik explained in detail to his own coin community of his current view of the expansion of Bitcoin.

The problem of expansion of bitcores has continued for many years, and there are many different solutions in the current community, such as alternative version of the coin code, user activation of soft bifurcation, extension blocks, Emergent consensus and the recent Segwit2MB idea (the New York Consensus) proposed by Barry Silbert.
It is reported that the New York consensus agreement is based on the root chain (RSK) chief scientist Sergio Demian Lerner proposed Segwit-2MB program. In addition, Hilbert claimed that there were 56 companies and 84% of the whole network to support this program.
Garzik recently contributed to a solution called "Consensus SegWit2x signaling on bit 4", and the code for the current solution has been published on Github. As of press time, there are a number of developers in the discussion and review of these codes. Bitcoin market , there are many developers do not agree with the overall concept of this proposal, or parts of the content, but also in support of the compromise was the idea.
On May 30, Garzik published a blog post titled "A Letter to a Billy Community".

(Jeff Garzik)
"A fully predictable and unavoidable result (the surge in transaction costs and the network's maximum capacity) is now happening, which is consistent with the predictions," Garzik explains.
"Despite the expansion of the community over the years, there has been no increase in the size of the base blocks of Bitcoin, high transaction fees have driven away many applications and some users have been away from Bitcoin. Size limit), https: //www.okcoin.cn will directly result in measurable, negative economic consequences. "

Measurable data and end of conspiracy theory
Garzik also said that it is not important to play a particular role, it is important that the block size has not escalated.
"The Segwit2x working group has a specific charter, as well as an open specific goal: isolation witness + 2MB block expansion, the community should be based on the results to judge these efforts.
Garzik concludes that he wants the community to judge by judging "their behavior and producing measurable results", which he believes is far superior to resorting to personal attacks and spreading conspiracy theories. "All those who want to make the Bitcoin community get better and more active, I want to ask you to start from here: treat each other so that we can build good code," Garzik added.

Provide feedback and help improve opportunities
The blog post has been submitted to multiple Bitcoin forums, some of which were submitted by Garzik himself. Of course, some people do not like this idea, while others support this compromise expansion program. Eric Lombrozo, a strong supporter of user activation soft bifurcation solutions, commented:
"I can not fix it. I will continue to support bip148 (uasf)."
However, DCG founder Barry Silbert does not agree with Lombrozo's argument.
"Can not fix it?" Sibert replied, "they just put the code on GitHub, giving us the opportunity to provide feedback and improvement."

What will be the result of the expansion of the bitcoord, the community will support the Segwit2MB proposal, it is hard to say. In spite of this, it seems that Bitcoin seems to have taken a step closer to expansion.
