Thoughts on DigiByte (DGB) Bitcoin and general digital currency alt-coin cryptocurrency thoughts

My comment over on Minds.com on a post that I thought I would share:

(In regards to DGB) Hell, I bought some just last week and it's already up BIG! This whole last week has been a big surge in a ton of the digital currencies out there and probably all do to the news making strides Bitcoin is making by reaching and then breaking past the $2000 mark (which, by the way, some analysts were saying wouldn't happen until the END of the year). It gets publicity, it generates more interest from the average person who then jumps into the market, and boom, all the other coins (or A LOT) go up as a result. If you're really interested, start at Cryptocompare.com for research and then jump into which ever wallet, exchange, and coins you deem worthy. Just be careful. If the coins aren't actually working to solve some actual issue (digital or otherwise) it might be better to skip on them or just throw a few dollars at them (which, with the right coin, can still buy you literally THOUSANDS of them since there are some still at fractions of a penny) and see what happens. It's still the early days of digital currencies and it's very much the Wild West, Big potential . . . for loss OR gain.

What do you steemit readers think? What are you all buying, selling, or watching and why? (Note: Never discuss your exact amounts as that could lead to someone targeting you for scams)
