Here's a question, are there any evidence to suggest that the risk/negative impact of hard fork are overblow given what we've seen so far in the altcoin space?

Ether DAO Classic split is used as the poster boy example typically but even this is questionable since you have to look at the long term effect, to wit, where Ethererum's ecosystem is today. Also Steemit did a hard fork recently btw.
