Katy Perry — Showing Support For Cryptos — Joining Other Celebrities

in #bitcoin7 years ago (edited)

Have you ever gone to a nail salon and get your nails down? Chances are you have if you are a woman. If you are a man, the chances are more likely that you paid for lady’s nails to get done. But either way, Katy Perry hit the fashion/financial statement of the year.

She is known for some of her crazy outfits and performances, like this:

Katy Perry

Katy Perry is a unique women who always dresses in a way that is her own. Nothing she does or wears is simple or “average”. She is one of the most unconventional singers of today, which makes her perfect for and unconventional, unique technology that is changing the way money is thought of.

Her Crypto Claws

She posted a picture of her nails being done in her usual Katy Perry way: depicting crypto currencies.
Here is the picture of them, and honestly they look awesome:

If you notice, her nails represent 5 pretty popular crypto currencies. These 5 include Litecoin, Monero, Bitcoin, Stellar Lumens, and Ethereum. And if you look closer you notice that Bitcoin is on the middle fingers as if to give a big ”F### YOU!!” to banks. She also made a point to tag the official accounts of those currencies on her “Crypto Claws” instagram post. (She should’ve included Steem, but maybe that’s for the next nail job)

This isn’t the first time that Katy Perry has made news with cryptos. A year ago, she made news for asking Warren Buffett his opinion of crypto currency. If you dont know, Warren Buffett is VERY VERY wealthy investor who has made a lot of money.

Other Celebrities

More and more celebrities are making news with crypto currencies. This includes the recent story of rapper 50 Cent being a Bitcoin Millionaire when he remembered he sold his album for Bitcoin a while back. Paris Hilton, Floyd Mayweather and
Luis Suarez are some more big names that have made news with cryptos.

This is a trend that is becoming all the more prominent and brings attention to the cryptos that we all know and love. With more celebrities talking about these coins, more people will look into them. Many fans are obsessed with what goes on in celebritie’s lives, so when a celebrity promotes a coin more people will come and invest.

It’s clear Bitcoin and all the other coins are gaining more attention from investors, but this may also bring negative attention. Hopefully the good outweighs the bad.

I always thought that Katy Perry was just crazy, but no, she's a crazy who supports cryptocurrencies!

Yup. It’s amazing how many many normal people on the street or famous people actually know about crypto.

I was talking to the front desk person of a hotel and we were discussing money and all that and then I brought up crypto and he knew what i was talking about. We probably talked for an hour.

It’s refreshing to meet random people and be able to talk to them about crypto more than just hearing the same old “its scam” “its for drug dealers and terrorists” and all that garbage. There is so much more to these things than what the news says.

If Donald Trump hasn’t gotten anything else correct, the one thing he did get correct was that the mainstream media pushes news that doesn’t cover everything or selectively covers aspects of stories to fit their beliefs.

As long as celebrities and influencers continue talking about cryptos, more people are interested, this gives a kind of slight contrast to the media, which only criticize and seek to end the cryptomarket.

This crypto space will be bigger than we can ever imagine. The big boys are coming in soon.
Many don't even understand how it works.
This space will be big

Agreed. This is still relatively new and there is plent of room to grow. My argument is always that even if BTC is a bubble, it is a very very very small bubble right now. The crypto market is nowhere near the size it could be as a worldwide currency. It has much more room to grow and become popular.

Personally, I think we could be looking at 5-10 years before we see a substantial amount of money and value in the coins. But we will see. I’m in for the long run.

Me too... I am in for the long run
