Thanks for your thoughts. I'm not so sure if Lightning will have the desired effect. In 2018 I think there will be more and more transparency about energy consumption and block size (with relation to transaction fee) and this doesn't work in the advantage in BTC. Currently BTC dominance is at an all time low (around 32%) and I could imagine that the trend continues.

It's really going to be interesting to see what will happen with bitcoin. At the moment it is just a slow and old cryptocurrency with an extreme overvalue.
Do you think BCH could take the place of BTC? Or maybe BTG?
