The value of pools

Two of my main interest are cryptocurrency and poetry. I want to explore how these seemingly contradictory worlds: the cold, dissecting world of hard coded math and the airy world of imaginative fancy--collide to create one of most useful tools ever created: decentralized markets.

A decentralized market combines the usefulness of a fee market with the utility of computer integration. This is the stuff even the best science fiction couldn't predict--cell phones? Well, no one saw that coming either--

The thing you learn very quickly in the world of poetry is that the best poets tend to be in front of the editor's pen--so without a proper editor, you lag in a poetic purgatory--rough stuff. And the first thing you learn, if you are paying attention, from the cryptocurrency world is nothing is free.

Power pools are what these worlds have in common. The cryptocurrency world has miners which invariably use pools to increase the chance of a fair share of the mining lottery. You can solo mine, but your odds of winning a pool become so weak that they offset any potential payoff (which may never come, at all), the literary world has a limited base of readership, so the power pools in this world are the university and small presses of the literary elite--and while there pool is limited in direct readership, they grab users from each other by collecting the best or most avante garde writing. And while neither of these methods is very ideal, the combination of them will be a powerful tool for network creation--steemit, it's your board....

In an increasingly competitive world, technologies that combine old world utility with modern efficiency will increasingly dominate the landscape.
