Steam canceled the ability to buy games with Bitcoin / :(

Steam had enough of Bitcoin and will no longer accept them as a means of payment on their platform, so you'll need to spend your Bitcoin somewhere else now.

According to a blog post published on the official blog Steam, they no longer accept their Bitcoin platform as a payment method.

This online gaming platform has expressed dissatisfaction with the major changes in the value of this currency crypt, and with the increased fees that need to be paid to make the transaction executed. They said that the current fee per transaction would cost up to $ 20, and when they initially introduced Bitcoin as a means of payment, these fees amounted to only $ 0.2.

They also argue that the bitcoin's value is so varied that when someone buys a game at a certain transaction price they have to wait for verification, and while this is the case, bitcoin is sometimes drastically changed.

When this happens, Steam tries to resolve this problem by returning to the Bitcoin user, and sometimes need to ask the user to charge the remaining amount of Bitcoin, in both cases, creating additional costs as the transaction fee has to be reimbursed.

This does not mean that they have always abolished Bitcoin with Steam, but as long as its value does not rise, we will have to buy a traditional way through the fiat currency.
