How to read/visualize Bitcoin's "satoshi"

in #bitcoin7 years ago (edited)

A different perspective on how to view the decimals placement of Bitcoin's "satoshi" (pronounced: sah-toe-shee).

1 = 0.00000001 <-- This is a [1] satoshi
10 = 0.00000010 <-- This is 10 satoshi's
100 = 0.00000100 <-- This is 100 satoshi's
1,000 = 0.00001000 <-- So on and so forth...
10,000 = 0.00010000 <-- ...you
100,000 = 0.00100000 <-- ...get
10,000,000 = 0.01000000 <-- ...the point
100,000,000 = 1.00000000 <-- This is 100 million satoshi's

One Bitcoin(BTC) can be divided into 100 million pieces. And perhaps one day, we’ll be able to buy a gallon of milk with just 1 Billionth of a satoshi! Only time with tell! #HODL
