Russian Central Bank Bans Cryptocurrency Exchanges
According to an article published by Reuters 6 six hours ago, the Russian central bank has moved to block bitcoin exchanges. The article states:
MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia will block access to websites of exchanges that offer crypto-currencies such as Bitcoin, Russian Central Bank First Deputy Governor Sergei Shvetsov said on Tuesday.
Could it be a Chinese style ban?
There have been mixed signals coming from Russia regarding cryptocurrency, other news recently seemingly pointed towards a more positive attitude from the country. Putin is even said to be a big fan of Ethereum. (You may remember Putin met with Vitalik Buterin earlier in the year).
The article also says:
Later the authorities accepted the globally booming market of crypto-currencies but want to either control the turnover or to limit access to the market
If that is anything to go by, I'm guessing what Russia is doing will be akin to the Chinese crackdown, but what do you think? Let me know in the comments!

Seems like the banks are getting nervous. Crypto can not be ignored anymore.
