John McAfee Doesn't Give a Shit
McAfee, famous for saying that he will eat his dick on television if Bitcoin is not worth $1 million by year 2020, was on the @crypt0 show.
It might be worth $1 million eventually, but year 2020 is wildly soon. We'll see how he squares the circle.
But here he chimes in on the Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash thing.

I couldn't disagree much more.
It's a super problematic statement.
People who support BTC don't particularly "give a shit" which one we use either, to whatever extent they're a different version of the same thing. We just know which one came first and what you can reasonably expect to happen and don't wish to confuse people with hype dreams.
And if there's a meaningful difference between the two, then it seems like you damn well should care. If BCH is saying there's a problem with BTC and that they have a meaningful improvement, then you care whether or not they're right.
Bitcoin Cash was like literally born out of an argument against Bitcoin. So if you want no arguing about what's better, then there isn't BCH.
BTC is the side that's wayyyy more typically talking about "how the blockchain is going to change our lives" and all those things and not thinking anything of BCH.
BCH basically revolves around arguing against BTC. Arguing that it's "the real Bitcoin" and "more useful as currency than BTC". Which is fine. But if there needs to be a "settle down, don't fight boys" it seems silly to try to paint Ver and BCH as being on the victim/receiving end of it. McAfee is doing the weird projection fliparoo thing. Ver and BCH are the arguers.
And besides, why even worry about people arguing? Arguing is how you figure out what's right and what's the best way to proceed.
(There are ways to argue that aren't constructive or polite. But again, that criticism would go to Ver before anyone else.)
That's McAfee's response to conflict, I guess. But the actually reasonable thing here is recognizing that people can say what they want and, if you feel so inspired, go ahead and make some winning arguments why Bitcoin Cash does not make sense and why it's better to build on BTC.
The Lady Boy dilemma seems tough, and that's a sound solution to it.
I'd worry that some of the real ladies are offended that you don't think they're a lady, and then it's a lot of effort to walk thru the game theory of why you said that.

Basically.. Bitcoin (BTC) is actually Bitcoin, and the other one (BCH) is a marketing ploy to try to pretend to be Bitcoin. 😋
BCH was born out of a block size dispute, when BTC transfers were slow/expensive. It's one of like dozens or hundreds of hard forks of the BTC chain (if you hold BTC at the time of the fork, then you receive BCH, and the BCH chain begins from there).
It's fine to fork Bitcoin or to think you're better than Bitcoin or whatever, but what's dirty about BCH is that they deliberately muddy the waters wanting people to believe that they "are" Bitcoin. I'm not worried that it will hurt BTC, but it's just dirty to misdirect people who think they're buying "Bitcoin", the thing they've seen on TV or heard their friends talk about, and actually buy a different thing.
I may make a post about that with more info.

He better be right. He is a billionaire right? Along with his friends, he can push it up nicely. With short squeeze and panic buying, he may not have make this painful sacrifice afterall. If I had to choose between bitcoin and BCH, my answer is “I’m not invested in BCH” and “I’m heavily invested in BTC”.
haha, he can try, might be easier to just reneg on his word lol, or find some bs rationalization, like if he can find one buyer who at least pretends to buy from him for that price maybe he can pretend that counts
ya, BCH just no chance IMO. like, there's some non-zero chance that Bitcoin is replaced by some new paradigm of thing that we can't conceive of right now. but... there's 0% chance a fork of it ever becomes the new standard, imo
All they can really do is gain a little bit of adoption for a ton of effort by Ver and people who support it. It won't ever be the ubiquitous thing. And anyone calling bullshit on it, I think is helpful.. "no arguing, no arguing guys" is basically saying he wants hype to be able to spread unchecked.
Crypto market prices keep changing from time to time, to predict the same as gambling.
