The biggest bitcoin non story in the last 24 hours? The Price.steemCreated with Sketch.

in #bitcoin7 years ago

With the coordinated attacks, nodes dropping, hot fixes, and the ensuing twitter and reddit battles if you just looked at the price chart you would think it was a boring day. Every time I checked the chart (always have it open somewhere) the price was right around $1250. Looking at the 24 hour from Bitstamp you can see the high of 1258 and the low of 1241. It's like the market didn't even know it happened. Transactions kept flowing, network remained stable, users unaffected and the price reflected this.

This is one benefit of having multiple implementations of the node software. Unless they all have the same flaw an attacker can't take bitcoin down. So if you support bitcoin you should welcome alternate clients and support their development.

It only makes sense that the same would apply to steem as well.
