MonteCrypto: The video game that will award 1 BTC to the winner
Meet MonteCrypto: the bitcoin game. In it, players play a first-person maze exploration and need to solve 24 "mind-blowing" puzzles. The game has a wallet.dat file among its files, encrypted with a 24-word seed that players will unlock once they're able to beat the game,
Needless to say the first player to win the game will be able to unlock the 24-word seed and collect the Bitcoin to himself. The game is playedi n single player, but interestingly they will be able to leave messages for others to find. This, per the game's creators, can mean they try to throw each other off track, or they will help each other until the end.
The game's description on Steam reads:
“Montecrypto: The Bitcoin Enigma is an experiment in player choice and cooperation like no other, with a prize that translates not only to bragging rights but to real world value. How much will players be willing to share, how much will they be able to compromise and who will claim access to the final vault of Montecrypto?”
The game will be available on February 20, and will cost $1.99. Not a bad price for a chance to compete in what looks like an extremely fun social experiment, and a chance to get over $10,000 from playing a video game.
