Venezuela Going Full Bitcoin
Hey guys,
One thing that I feel is getting lost within all this institutional money chat, is the real world adoption of crypto as a day to day currency.
Take this As Venezuela Goes ‘Full Crypto’, Bitcoin Trading Volumes Surge article for example:
“Bitcoin trading volumes have skyrocketed in Venezuela. According to figures from P2P trading platform Localbitcoins, over 1,700 BTC have changed hands in the last two weeks, a 19% rise compared since the start of the month.”
My personal opinion is that the fact crypto is actually being adopted and used by every day people, for every day things in South America is more significant than any government regulation or fund.
Crypto offers people freedom and once the wave starts, it won’t be able to be stopped.

Exactly, it is the adoption and regular use that will be the foundation like driver for crypto.
I can’t even imagine the economic struggles of every day people in South America, but they’re real and not going away. Crypto is their actual lifeline.

Yep, we are spoiled in Countries like U.S. and AUS
Venezuela is adopting Crypto. However, those volumes don’t account for the bolivar collapse. In Bolivar terms growth looks exponential but change the volumes in BTC. It’s fairly flat. I do know that Dash is getting some major organic adoption there w/ close to 2000 merchants there that accept Dash.

I’ve also read that the Dash adoption is more marketing spin than real adoption by people actually using it on the ground. That it’s still Bitcoin which everyone knows and uses when they have to. I really don’t know what to believe though.

But "Bitcoin has no use" LOL. Good to see the people have a fighting chance to preserving their wealth thanks to BTC.
